Ingenico Group brings the open Android POS platform to the US market, providing merchants with high flexibility and seamless business app integration
Atlanta, Ga. – April 10, 2018 – Ingenico Group (Euronext: FR0000125346 - ING), the global leader in seamless payment, today announced it will be exhibiting at the ETA TRANSACT 2018 conference, taking place April 17-19, 2018 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. At the show, the company will be debuting its latest mobile solution, Axium, its next-generation point of sale (POS) platform designed with acquirers’ clients in mind, which was launched earlier this year at Mobile World Congress. Building upon the benefits of an open-Android environment and combined with the security of Ingenico Group’s Telium Tetra operating system, Axium provides access to a complete cloud ecosystem for commerce.
To remain competitive, merchants need a business solution that offers more than just payment acceptance. This is what Axium, Ingenico Group’s convergence platform, achieves for all stakeholders in the commerce ecosystem. By partnering with electronic cash register (ECR) vendors, the company is able to provide the most comprehensive offering on the small merchant market, which includes: store, employee and stock management; checkout, loyalty and accounting services. In addition, Axium allows merchants to download apps from the extensive collection available on an open marketplace or from those located on an acquirers’ private marketplace. APIs connect smart ECR POS to business services, while cloud services enable simple backup and the remote management of ECR POS content and settings. These features are crucial to the digitalization of small-scale commerce.
At the conference, three Ingenico Group thought leaders will be presenting on emerging retail technology and the future of commerce:
As the omni-channel landscape continues to evolve, merchants are faced with new opportunities to connect with customers, in-store, online and through mobile, which, if handled correctly, can drastically improve the overall experience,” said Jennifer Miles, executive vice president, Ingenico Group. “We are excited to showcase our next-generation payment technology at TRANSACT, as well as be part of a number of discussions about key topics that are impacting the commerce industry, including omni-channel payments, mobility, the customer experience and innovation. Conversations like these are what will continue to move the industry forward and help provide merchants with innovative solutions to improve their business value.”
During the show, Ingenico Group will also unveil three new turnkey open-Android tablet POS solutions designed to simplify the integration process and increase speed to market. The solutions are equipped with Ingenico Group’s pre-certified RP457c mobile card reader, which makes it easy for merchants to accept a variety of payment methods including magstripe, EMV and NFC/contactless. Additionally, at the booth the company will be discussing its broad line of mobile point of sale (mPOS) and tablet solutions, omni-channel commerce (including in-store, online, mobile and unattended) and integrated payments/vertical-specific solutions.
